Runway surfaces follow the contour of the land and are never perfectly flat.
Runway lighting is directional so perpendicular runways or runways beneath you are much less visible than runways you are aligned with.
It's hard to tell from the FL scenery database, but we have accurate and detailed terrain covering the entire world.
The Sun, Moon, stars, and planets are correctly placed in the sky for the current date and time. They move as the day progresses, and the world is lit based on the current sun position. The moon always has the correct phase.
